We needed to work off all of the Thanksgiving food, so we headed off to Huntsville State park for some hiking and alligator viewing. Afterwards, we went to find the Hohn family Christmas tree and decorated the house. This was a family tradition growing up and we decided to make it a tradition of our own. When that was finished, we headed downtown to see a hockey game.
Thanksgiving has come and gone marking the first time that the Hohn's met Brian, Vanessa's fiance, and Lily's first Thanksgiving. Vanessa was late getting into town, but when she arrived we had a blast. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Grandma becomes the first visitor of the Holiday season. We had a great time and can't wait until she comes and visits us again. Until then, here are some pictures of the her with the kids. Enjoy.
Last weekend we went down to the ocean to see what Galveston is all about. Galveston sits between Galveston bay (freshwater) and the Gulf of Mexico (saltwater). The result is an interesting de-salinated brackish water that will most likely not make the cover of Conde Nast traveler. The city of Galveston has been around forever, but it looks like they stopped updating the buildings in 1968. When we got to town we realized that there was a bike rally for the weekend and while this was not Sturgis, there were about 300,000 bikers on the island. We quickly found Galveston Island State park and escaped some of the noise and Jeremiah had a blast. We started out fully clothed but has his excitement level rose, his clothes became wet rapidly.
Sorry about the lack of posts lately. Last weekend the old Dell computer left this world and attempted to take all of our pictures with it. We were able to get all 2000 pictures off of the computer but not without some effort.
Well, we have had some wonderful weather the last few weeks. With night time temps dipping down into the 30's and daytime temps in the high 60's fall has arrived to the big hot sweaty city. We are very excited to see family in the upcoming month and I am sure that they will enjoy south Texas in the fall.
