We enjoyed a long visit to South Dakota for Christmas. We DROVE both ways, which made for a lot of car time. Grandpa Mikey was hospitalized before Christmas, so we left a few days earlier than expected. We stayed in Sioux Falls and spent some quality time with him, along with time with Boo Boo and Abi and a few moments in the cold, cold snow. The first week of our trip was brutally cold, especially compared to Houston. (We've become very thin-blooded.) We celebrated Christmas Eve and morning with the Bliss parents, Christmas Day with the Hohn dad (he was released from the hospital that day!), and a few days in the Black Hills after Christmas with Mom Van Patten and Jon. We returned to Houston for New Year's, and just in time for some wonderful days of warm temps and low humidity. We celebrated New Year's Eve with our dear friends, the Carlsons.
