The red dogs and lili's newest thing

We had some cedar mulch delivered and placed around our plants this past week. It obviously was not red enough, so they added color to it. When it rained two days later the entire lawn turned orange. The dogs turned orange as well. Lili's new thing is to lay her head down when she is in her high chair. It is pretty cute.

Spring is in the Air

Here are some fun pictures of our two. In the second picture, Jeremiah is surrounded by his school art projects from the past couple of months. You can also see from these pictures that the two kids love bathtime. By the way, isn't that little Lulu Miss Photogenic?

Biloxi on the way home

On the way home from our vacation, we stayed in Biloxi and checked out the beach. This was the first time that we had really seen any of the hurricane devastation from Katrina. Of course the casinos rebuilt immediately, but on the main strip where large historic homes used to face the ocean there was nothing but concrete foundation slabs. This was two years ago and still most had not started to rebuild. There was an old apartment building across from the Hard Rock Casino that look like it had been shelled by an explosive. I was using the GPS in my car to try to find a gas station and it kept telling me that there was one upcoming only to find that the station was no longer there. It was surreal.
